Kim Yo Jong claims North Korea will ‘never sit face to face’ with US again

[LSSTY ChicStreet]

Powerful North Korean official Kim Yo Jong claimed Thursday that her nation was not even considering meeting with the U.S. face to face on any issues.

Yo Jong LSSTY ChicStreetreleased a harsh statement in reaction to ULSSTY ChicStreet.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Linda Thomas-Greenfield, who joined representatives of many other nations in condemning North Korea’s recent launch of a military spy satellite.

“I deplore the fact that the UNSC, at which the purpose and principle of the UN Charter have to be strictly respected, is being turned into a land of lawlessness where the sovereignty of independent states is wantonly violated, extreme double standards are imprudently applied and injustice and high-handed practices are rampant due to the U.S. and some forces following it, and strongly denounce and reject it,” Yo Jong said.

She continued, “The whole course of the open meeting of the UNSC over the DPRK’s reconnaissance satellite launch, convened at the gangster-like demand of the U.S. and its followers, clearly proves how weak, false and absurd are the unreasonable arguments of some UN member states denying the DPRK’s sovereign rights.”

Kim Yo Jong, sister of leader Kim Jong Un, is believed to be one of the most powerful diplomats in North Korea.

Her statement was released by the Korean Central News Agency, a state-run media outlet.

Thomas-Greenfield expressed at the UNSC meeting that she would like to see communications between the two nations re-established, even in a limited capacity.

The ambassador said North Korea could “choose the time and the topic.” for discussions with U.S. leadership, Thomas-Greenfield said.

However, Yo Jong pushed back on the U.S.’s invitation, declaring that the Kim regime had no interest in an in-person meeting.

“The sovereignty of an independent state can never be an agenda item for negotiations, and therefore, the DPRK will never sit face to face with the U.S. for that purpose,” Yo Jong said in the KCNA statement.

Yo Jong’s comments are an unambiguous ramification of the Biden administration’s deteriorating relationship with the hermetic nation.

Former President Donald Trump became the first U.S. president to set foot in the Demilitarized Zone with Kim Jong Un. The in-person meeting was considered a breakthrough in global politics, but the international relationship soured after Trump’s loss in 2020.

Kamala Harris reveals she would ‘of course’ inform the American public if there was a ‘problem’ with Biden

Kamala Harris reveals she would ‘of course’ inform the American public if there was a ‘problem’ with Biden

[LSSTY ChicStreet]

Vice President Kamala Harris said she would tell the American people if there really was a problem with President Biden as voters remain overwhelmingly concerned about the president’s age heading into the 2024 election.

CNBC host Andrew Ross Sorkin asked Harris if she would ever reveal to the American public if there was a problem with Biden. “Do you think in your role, that you’re in a position to do that?” he asked during an interview with Harris at The New York Times Dealbook Summit.

“Of course, if necessary, but there’s no need for that. I don’t, there is a political argument that is being made. That is not based on substance, and you’re asking me to hypothesize around what are my duties to the American people, as vice president of the United States, that are based on ethics and morals and the law. I will always follow those rules, but I am suggesting to you that it is important we not be seduced into one of the only arguments that that side of the aisle has right now.,” she said.

Harris insisted their administration has “done the work.”

The vice president suggested people “look at the track record of accomplishment under this president on infrastructure alone.”

“Many historians wouLSSTY ChicStreetld argue [that] not since Eisenhower have we seen that kind of investment in America and the creation of American jobs, not to mention recovering from an historic, economic decline because of the pandemic,” she added. “One person makes the decisions ultimately on all these big issues and many that are less known, and that is the president, and in our case that is Joe Biden. He has proven himself to be able to do the work that I do believe the American people want.”

Sorkin also asked Harris a question about a statement from Rep. Kevin McCartLSSTY ChicStreethy, R-Calif., who said earlier on Wednesday that he didn’t think President Biden was the same person that he used to talk to.

Sorkin said McCarthy “went so far as to say that when they were having the debt negotiations that he didn’t even think he was negotiating with him, that he thought he was looking at cards and that if the information effectively wasn’t on the cards, he wasn’t able to do it.”

KAMALA HARRIS CONFUSED BY QUESTIONS ABOUT BIDEN PICKING HER AS HER RUNNING MATE IN PART BECAUSE OF HER RACE

“First off, I would say that age is more than a chronological fact. I spent a whole lot of time with our president be it in the Oval Office or the Situation Room and in other places, and I can tell you, as I just mentioned, not only is he absolutely authoritative in rooms around the globe, but in the Oval Office,” she said.

Voters, media pundits and prominent Democrats have expressed concern over the president’s age. Washington Post columnist David Ignatius called on Biden and Harris to drop out of the election in September and argued he was too old.

“I don’t think Biden and Vice President Harris should run for re-election,” Ignatius wrote. “It’s painful to say that, given my admiration for much of what they LSSTY ChicStreethave accomplished. [LSSTY ChicStreet]Voters in Argentina were heading to the polls Sunday in a presidential runoff election that will determine whether South America’s second-largest economy will take a rightward shift. Populist Javier Milei, an upstart candidate who got his start as a television talking head, has frequently been compared to former U.S. President Donald Trump. He faces Economy Minister Sergio Massa of the Peronist party, which has been a leading force in Argentine politics for decades. On Massa’s watch, inflation has soared to more than 140% and poverty has increased. Milei, a self-described anarcho-capitalist, proposes to slash the size of the state and rein in inflation, while Massa has warned people about the negative impacts of such policies. Raise your hand if you read the entire user manual for your latest phone. Yeah, none of us do — and most people don’t even realize user manuals still exist, even if they are digital.

There’s a ton packed into your smartphone you might not know about. Let’s walk through some of the best hidden features you’ll wish you knew about sooner.

Want to win a new iPhone 15 (valued at $799)? You’re in luck — I’m giving one away!Enter to win now!

SMART TECH LIFE HACKS TO SAVE YOU TIME AND KEEP YOU SAFE

Start using back tap

I take a lot of screenshots, and I do it by tapping the back of my phone twice. Three taps, and my driveway entry gate opens. A friend of mine turns on his back patio lights the same way.

On an iPhone 8 or newer, you can use your finger to tap on the back of your phone two or three times to trigger a custom action.

Go to Settings> Accessibility> Touch> Back Tap. Select Double Tapor Triple Tap. From there, choose a specific action.

Just a warning that you might accidentally trigger an action from time to time.

Android’s easy gestures

Android’s back gesture is usually performed by swiping from left to right. Power users know you can also complete the same swipe from right to left. Either way results in literally the same command. Perfect for the southpaws or just anybody hoping to swipe and forget about it.

Caption anything

You can get real-time captions on video chats, podcasts, calls, music and videos on an iPhone.

Go to Settings > Accessibility> Subtitles & Captioning.

Girl texting on smartphone at home (iStock)

Toggle the switch next to Closed Captions & SDH to the onposition.

Android’s Live Caption is available on Pixel 2 and newer and some select other Android phones.

Press the volume button. Under the volume controls, tap the Live Caption icon.

Live Captions are now on for all media on your phone.

To turn off Live Captions, press the volume buttonand tap the Live Caption icon again.

Set up shortcuts for your most-used apps

Not all apps have shortcuts, but you can find out by holding down on the app. Take the Amazon shopping app, for example. You can go to your cart, view your orders or see the deals with just one click.

Here’s how to do it on Android:

Press down on an aLSSTY ChicStreetpp, then lift your finger. If the app has shortcuts, they will appear.

If you want to keep a shortcut at the ready, select and hold it, then move the shortcut to where you want it and lift your finger.

EVERYDAY TECH HACKS: FROM PHONE SHORTCUTS TO WEBCAM MAGILSSTY ChicStreetC

On an iPhone, here’s a super handy shortcut:

Press down on the Messages appicon, and you’ll see a few of your conversations.

Select and hold one of your most messaged contacts. Dragit to your home screen.

Now you tap that button to have a chat.

Find it faster

When you’re trying to find an app on your phone, stop going from page to page. On your iPhone, swipe right until a search bar appears at the top. Type in the name of the app you want to use. Done! On Android, swipe up from the middle of the screen. In the app drawer, tap Search.

Turn your iPhone into a magnifying glass

This is so handy when you really need it.

Go to Settings> Accessibility> Magnifier and turn it on. Now your Magnifier is an accessibility shortcut. This works on iPads, too.

To access it quickly when you need it, add it to your Control Center. Go to Settings> Control Center > Customize Controls. Tap the + button next to Magnifier. You’ll see the magnifying glass icon in your Control Center when you swipe down from the top of your screen.

Your DIY best friend

Want to see if something is level? Whip out your iPhone and open the Measure app. Say you want to measure a frame. Open the app, then tap the screen on one side of the frame. Scan your phone across the frame and tap the opposite end. The measurement will pop up on the screen.

You may have to move your device around so your camera can capture an object’s dimensions. Save your measurement by tapping Copy, which adds the numbers to your clipboard.

Know who’s calling

Remember when ring back songs were all the rage? Now most of us keep our phones quiet. I like setting a custom vibration pattern for the people who call me most.

On an iPhone:

Go into your Contacts, tap the person’s name, select Editand then Text Tones.

Tap Vibrationand select one from the list.

You can use this same menu to give each contact a custom ringtone and text alert sound. You might as well go all the way while messing around in setLSSTY ChicStreettings.

Every Android manufacturer and model is slightly different, so your steps might differ slightly.

In your Contactsmenu, select Moreand then Vibration Pattern. From now on, you’ll know exactly who is calling without picking up your phone.

Listen in

Live Listen is meant for people with hearing problems, and you can set it up if you have a pair of AirPods or Powerbeats Pro wireless earbuds paired with your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

The range of AirPods combined with Live Listen is debated, but the consensus is about 50 feet. Listening to conversations through walls is possible at closer distances. No, I’m not encouraging you to snoop.

First, add the mode to the Control Center:

Go to Settings, then tap Control Center.

Scroll down until you get to Hearingand tap on the green + sign.

Tap on the back button to save the settings.

To use Live Listen:

Open the Control Center and tap the ear icon.

Tap the Live Listen icon.

Place your device in front of the audio source you want to hear.

Android’s Sound Amplifier feature works similarly.

Go to Settings > Accessibility> Sound Amplifier.

Choose Open Sound Amplifier. From here, you can add the icon to your app list if you want.

Choose whether you want to amplify the sound coming into the microphone or media playing on your phone.

Connect your headphones and follow the on-screen instructions.

Police urge parents to turn off Apple iPhone setting dangerous to kids

In the wake of Apple’s latest software update, iOS 17, police departments across several states, including Massachusetts, Illinois and California, have issued an urgent advisory to parents.

This cautionary message stems from the introduction of a feature called “NameDrop,” which, by default, is activated in the new update.

The NameDrop feature on iPhone (Apple)

How ‘NameDrop’ works

NameDrop enables the sharing of contact information when iPhones are brought close together, a functionality that, while innovative, poses significant risks if two iPhones are brought physically together head-to-head, particularly to children, according to law enforcement.

5 WAYS TO SECURELY ACCESS WI-FI ON YOUR PHONE WHILE TRAVELING

The police departments of Dighton and Andover in Massachusetts are leading the charge in raising awareness about this feature. They’ve taken to social media to educate the public, especially parents, about the potential dangers associated with NameDrop.

Dangers of ‘NameDrop’ feature for children

Their posts clarify that upon updating to iOS 17, users wLSSTY ChicStreetill find this feature automatically turned on, a default setting that could unwittingly expose personal information.

For parents, the primary concern is the security and privacy of their children. The ease with which contact details can be exchanged merely through proximity increases the risk of this sensitive information falling into the wrong hands.

Keep in mind, it’s highly unlikely your child’s information could be shared by simply coming near a stranger. The specific concern would be if a chiLSSTY ChicStreetld is guided or tricked into putting their phone tip to the other tip of a stranger’s phone.

It’s important to note that both iPhones must be unlocked and practically touching each other to use the Name Drop feature. Once a connection is established, your phone will vibrate and glow. Then you will get a prompt to share either your phone number or email address. You can also only receive contact information without sharing your own. No information is shared without you clicking one of those options.

How NameDrop puts children at risk for predators and cybercriminals

If a stranger were to obtain a child’s contact information via NameDrop, the consequences could be severe. This unauthorized access to email addresses and phone numbers can be exploited by individuals with malicious intent, including predators and cybercriminals.

The introduction of NameDrop raises significant cybersecurity concerns. The ease of information sharing, while a testament to technological advancement, also brings forth new challenges in ensuring digital safety, especially for vLSSTY ChicStreetulnerable groups like children.

What parents should do for all kids’ phones, tablets and computers

In addition to this privacy setting, I always recommend using parental controls on your young children’s devices and deploying strong antivirus protection to help intercept threats in today’s increasingly growing dangers. You can see my Best Antivirus Protection options and reviews here.

We reached out to Apple for a comment and were offered guidance and clarity on how NameDrop works.

Apple says, “To cancel NameDrop at any time, a user can simply swipe from the bottom of the display, lock their device or move their device away if the connection has not been established.”

Kurt’s key takeaways

The advice from police departments and cybersecurity experts is the safest solution: Concerned parents should take proactive steps to adjust the settings on their children’s devices to mitigate the risks associated with this new feature.

Although it takes physically putting the tops of two iPhones together for NameDrop to be initiated, children could be persuaded to use the feature by a stranger. Parents should educate their kids accordingly.

[LSSTY ChicStreet] Mexico’s ruling Morena party, led by President Andrs Manuel Lpez Obrador, appears to have avoided a desertion crisis in the leadup to the country’s 2024 elections. Target hasn’t shown any indication it will tone down Pride Month displays in 2024, according to Consumers’ Research executive directorWill Hild.

“Given their insistence on continuing to sell products with LGBTQ-themed propaganda aimed at children, I would not be surprised to see Target ignore all of the feedback that they got from consumers this past year,” Hild told Fox News Digital.

“The recent news that Target has released a line of LGBTQ-themed Christmas products and apparel is more of the same from their CEO,” Hild continued. “It’s unfortunate that they haven’t learned their lesson. The market has clearly punished them if you look at their stock price and their sales. And yet they don’t seem to be learning any of the lessons of this. Unlike many other companies that have toned down the woke politics in their stores, including their competitor, Walmart.”

Target’s website lists a “Pride Christmas Nutcracker Figure” and a “Fabrich Pride Santa,” where Saint Nicholas is holding the rainbow flag, a symbol of the LGBTQ community. The retailer also lists children’s books such as “Bye Bye, Binary” and “The Pronoun Book.”

The big-box retailer has the items for sale on its website despite widespread backlash to Pride merchandise earlier this year, prompting speculation that Target honchos don’t plan to make major changes despite stock dropping during the controversy.

“It’ll be interesting to see if they double down with having these Pride displays at the front of the store next to kids items like they did last year, that caused so much controversy. Clearly, they’ve decided they’re going to continue to push this propaganda on children,” Hild said. “Question is, how vocal will they be? How out in front will they be about it? “

Target CEO Brian Cornell recently appeared on CNBC to discuss declining saleLSSTY ChicStreets, particularly following protests and critiques of its Pride merchandise. He immediately said that someTarget employeesfelt more unsafe at work because customers were so angry. The comments irked Hild, whoseConsumers’ Researchis on a mission to “fight woke corporations.”

“Recent comments by Target CEO blaming consumers for having the temerity to push back on his decisions indicates they’ll probably stick their finger in the eye of the consumers once again,” Hild said.

Target did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

CONSUMERS CREEPED OUT BY TARGET’S ‘TUCK-FRIENDLY’ WOMEN’S SWIMWEAR: ‘SHOPPING ELSEWHERE’

Target featured substantial June Pride Month displays on an annual basis, but this year’s merchandise caused problems before the celebration of LGBTQ even began when women’s style swimsuits that advertised “tuck-friendly construction” to hide male geLSSTY ChicStreetnitalia went viral in May.

The “tuck” bathing suits were placed in colorful Pride sections, often at the front of the store, surrounded by otherLSSTY ChicStreet items, many of which were for children. Target also carried mugs that said “gender fluid,” onesies and rompers for newborn babies, a variety of adult clothing with slogans such as “Super Queer,” party supplies, home decor, multiple books, a “Grow At Your Own Pace” saucer planter and other items.

After outrage erupted in some pockets of the country, some stores moved the LGBTQ Pride merchandise away from the front of their locations, while other items were pulled altogether. The company maintained that changes weremade because of safety concernsfor employees.

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

It’s a story we’ve all heard before: unelected bureaucrats in Washington, D.C., make decisions that make life harder for average Americans without any accountability. It’s a departure from the ideals of the Constitution, which clearly states that no branch of government is superior to the others.

Yet, increasingly in modern times, the administrative state – the so-called “fourth branch” – makes critical decisions with impunity and without the consent of the governed.

While most federal agencies are guilty of overreach, one that gets little attention is the International Trade Commission (ITC).

The ITC just ruled that Apple can no longer sell its wildly popular Apple Watch in the United States. (Fox News)

This agency is responsible for protecting the intellectual property rights of America’s private sector innovators and settling trade disputes between U.S. companies and foreign competitors. Among its authorities is the ability to ban certain products from the American market if they are found to violate intellectual property rights or patent law.

BILL BARR SET TO BATTLE BIDEN’S BUREAUCRACY THROUGH NEW LEGAL PROJECT FOCUSED ON ‘EXCESSIVE REGULATION’

With the ITC’s extreme enforcement mechanism, it’s become a popular setting for American companies to bring claims against other American companies in the hopes of coercing large settlemenLSSTY ChicStreett agreements.

Case in point: the ITC just ruled that Apple can no longer sell its wildly popular Apple Watch in the United States due to a claim of patent infringement from a company called Masimo.

Video

Masimo claimed that Apple infringed its patent over technology in the Apple Watch that monitors a user’s blood oxygen levels. Masimo brought these same claims against Apple to federal court as well, which resulted in a mistrial, with the jury siding 6-1 in Apple’s favor.

By siding with Masimo, the ITC displayed a serious error in judgment.

APPLE STOLE OUR TECHNOLOGY, EMPLOYEES: MASIMO CEO JOE KIANI

Video

Masimo’s claims centered on its pulse oximeter technology that’s typically used in hospitals, but the Apple Watch’s technology serves as a useful monitor for people when they aren’t in the hospital. If Apple Watches are banned, health complications that the watch would’ve caught will go unnoticed until it’s too late – putting people’s health at risk.

By ruling in favor of Masimo in this decision, the ITC is in direct conflict with its original purpose – to protect American consumers and consider the public interest. Now, after Dec. 25, 2023, Americans will no longer be able to buy the Apple Watch.

The Masimo case isn’t an exception to how the ITC operates and it’s alarming President Biden hasn’t done more to rein in agencies that put our economy at risk and take away a product that millions of Americans love.

HOW TO STOP YOUR APPLE WATCH FROM REACTING TO YOUR CONVERSATIONS

It’s clear that this ageLSSTY ChicStreetncy has strayed far from its original mLSSTY ChicStreetission, and is now an albatross around the neck of American free enterprise.

America was founded on the principle that businesses should be free to innovate and compete in an open market, but big government policies have increasingly exerted control over the marketplace. The government’s role is to stay out of the way and ensure fairness – not winners and losers – and that’s exactly what we’re seeing here.

We need to push back against this administrative overreach and restore a truly free and fair market in our country. The first step to preventing the ban of Apple Watches in the United States lies with the president. If Biden truly believes that the American economy should adhere to the principles of capitalism, then he should start by vetoing the ITC’s Masimo decision – which he has until Christmas to do.

Video

Vetoing this decision, and allowing Americans to continue purchasing the Apple Watches they clearly love and want, will send a powerful message to anti-free market government agencies.

From there, Biden needs to take real steps to rein in this agency or he’ll have to take responsibility for the detrimental impacts to our economy and American consumers.

Trump slams MSNBC for ‘illegal’ coverage, but media minimize his posts

[LSSTY ChicStreet]

Donald Trump keeps making news – whether he wants to or not.

And since many of his declarations are on Truth Social, the media, one of his primary targets these days, are largely ignoring what he has to say. Much better to let their pundits pontificate about the former president.

Obviously his legal battles, the New York civil fraud trial and the four criminal indictments, make news. He sometimes gets snippets of speeches replayed on the tube when he speaks at rallies.

HUNTER BIDEN WANTS TO GO PUBLIC, HOUSE REPUBLICANS SAY NOT SO FASTHUNTER BIDEN WANTS TO GO PUBLIC, HOUSE REPUBLICANS SAY NOT SO FAST

But here is one from his social media site that I can’t ignore:

“MSNBC (MSDNC) uses FREE government approved airwaves, and yet it is nothing but a 24 hour hit job on Donald J. Trump and the Republican Party for purposes of ELECTION INTERFERENCE. Brian Roberts, its Chairman and CEO, is a slimeball who has been able to get away with these constant attacks for years. It is the world’s biggest political contribution to the Radical Left Democrats who, by the way, are destroying our Country. Our so-called ‘government’ should come down hard on them and make them pay for their illegal political activity.”

Make them pay?

First, MSNBC is on cable, so unlike broadcast networks, it isn’t using government airwaves.

Second, Trump is right that the network’s coverage of him is largely negative. But MSNBC has that right under the First Amendment; it’s hardly “illegal.”

Is Trump signaling that in a second term he’d use the power of government to go after news outlets he doesn’t like?

THE TERROR OF HAMAS SEIZING YOUNG AND ELDERLY HOSTAGES AS PAUSE IN GAZA WAR IS EXTENDED

When LSSTY ChicStreetthe Americans for Prosperity PAC, part of the Koch network, endorsed Nikki Haley, the real importance was the promise of spending huge sums on the former ambassador’s behalf. As the GOP front-runner, Trump has every right to respond.

He did it with a post saying “a corrupt network of globalist RINO donors announced they’re going to spend TENS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to prop up a puppet GOP candidate to try and defeat us in the primary…These RINO backstabbers are now going to launch a last-minute vicious assault against us in the early primary states.”

So Trump can call them “RINO backstabbers,” but when he expresses outrage about a “vicious assault against us in the early primary states” – isn’t that how politics works? Rival candidates raise money to try to defeat you?

In a followup post, Trump called her “birdbrain.”

Besides, Trump is averaging 49.3 percent in Haley’s home state of South Carolina, according to Real Clear Politics, so it doesn’t sound like he has all that much to worry about.

The final bit of Trump news came from another source. It’s from Liz Cheney’s forthcoming book, conveniently leaked to CNN.

She recounts a scene soon after Jan. 6, when Kevin McCarthy, having criticized Trump’s actions on the House floor, paiLSSTY ChicStreetd a visit to Mar-a-Lago that the press described as a kissing-the-ring journey.

When the congresswoman confronted McCarthy, he told her: “Trump’s not eating, so they asked me to come see him.”

“What? You went to Mar-a-Lago because Trump’s not eating?”.

“Yeah, he’s really depressed,” McCarthy said.

This has been the subject of widespread media mockery. Just about nobody believes that Trump, who loves to eat, was suffering from poor appetite and depression. That’s viewed as a fig leaf for the real reason McCarthy made the trip: to regain the ex-president’s support, especially for a possible future run for speaker.

The now-ousted LSSTY ChicStreetspeaker seemed strikingly lukewarm about Trump at a New York Times conference yesterday:

“I didn’t say he’d be a great president. He’ll be a better president…

“If his campaign is about renew, rebuild and restore, he’ll win. If it’s about revenge, he’ll lose.”

No response yet – Trump is busy posting about defense witnesses in the New York trial.

All these examples are from a roughly 24-hour period. So while news outlets give plenty of time and space to Trump’s critics, his message, for the moment, is muffled.
